This was my first, paid UX title. This is where I met two of my mentors Krisztina Szerovay, the author of the best Knowledge base Sketches for the UX community, and Norbert Gaál who is the Managing Director now at MKB Fintechlab.
I didn't produce materials for my portfolio at that time, because of a lack of experience and also the banking industry’s strict NDA, but I made infographics listing my tasks and methods.
The client
MKB Fintechlab is an innovation center and startup accelerator owned by
MKB Bank in Hungary. Main roles:
- Support his parent company with design competence
- Invest in fintech startups
My role
I am grateful for the opportunity to have experience with both qualitative and quantitative research methods at MKB Fintechlab. I called myself a Client Experience Researcher, because our client stories almost never ended in a digital realm.
I have learned a lot about how to work together across different organizational cultures. Introducing a UX mindset to a traditional bank was quite a challenge.
Being involved in laying the foundations of a 'research system' has been a great learning opportunity also.
